The cutest thing

has to be a naked baby.  I love that squish hiney!!  To document Jack's cuteness I made him have a naked photo shoot a few weeks ago.  I bravely let him crawl around his room in his birthday suit after bathtime.  In typical boy fashion, he loved the freedom that being naked brought and I must admit I loved the pictures that I captured!  He played with his stuffed animals for a few minutes and then had fun pulling all of his books off of his bookshelf.
He crawled off of his rug onto the hardwoods before turning around to give me a sweet toothless grin. About 5 seconds later, he started splashing...and he wasn't playing in water!  At least he moved off of the rug!

Here we go!

"It's the end of the world as we know it"...that's the new theme song at The Ryan house!!  Jack is on the go and our lives have changed forever.  On Monday June 4, 2012 he made his first forward movements on all fours.  Unfortunately, he was still recovering from roseola so he was just pitiful when he crawled for the first time...he made his way across the carpet (to a tower, the boy loves a tower!) but cried and dragged his head on the ground the whole time!  It was so exciting, so sad, and so funny all at the same time.

Dave and I have been so amazed at how he has taken off since those first wobbly movements.  He is unstoppable and in to everything!  In less than a week, he gained confidence crawling and now thinks he is grown...he is pulling up nonstop (coffee table, chairs, mommy's legs, cabinets, you name it, he's climbing it!) and trying to stand on those chubby little legs...we can't turn our backs even for a minute!  We are quickly learning the real meaning of "baby proofing" and are finding new things to put away each day.

This new stage is so much fun and so exhausting!  I only wish that Jack would wear himself out as much as he wears me out!
